2013 Year End Review
“…One mother at a time”
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be call ed Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.!
Indeed! 2013 was an amazing year of accomplishments, all due to “a child is born”! Without Jesus, there is nothing we can do that will last. We are ever grateful for His love and favor as we move forward in the call to “Care for our future, one mother at a time”
The love and support of all of those, who assisted in doing much of the renovations needed at our new facility located in Clare, is greatly appreciated. Hats off to all!
We also received a huge donation from the Business Professionals of America Students at Clare High School. They delivered a full school bus loaded with non-perishable food items, linens, hygiene products, blankets, sleeping bags, wash cloths, laundry detergent and more! Below is a picture of some of the most thoughtful young men around. A big thank you goes out to Jan Cleary and all that work to make this community outreach happen!!
Annual Christmas Bake Sale!
Once again it is time for our Annual Christmas bake sale at Jay’s Sporting Goods in Clare. We are in need of bakers this year to help us make this event a success. Last year we made a little over $800.00 and our goal this year is to meet or beat that amount. If you are interested in getting on board to help us raise funds to heat the shelter during these cold winter months, please call (989) 424-5434 to sign up today. The bake sale will be held on Saturday December 14th, from 10:00am until 4:00 pm (or until all goods are sold).
The Red Door Thrift Store in Clare, located at 1006 N. McEwan is hosting many sales! Our hours are Mon-Fri 10-6pm and in addition thru Dec 28th, Saturdays from 11am-4pm (only for the Christmas season). The proceeds from the store help to support our homeless shelter and to provide a warm, safe place for our residents to learn how to become a successful parent and a contributing member of society.
We could not continue this work without your support. At our dinner we had an anonymous donor fill out a pledge for $250.00 monthly. There was not enough information on the giving envelope to process this generous monthly gift. We understand your desire to remain anonymous, we applaud you! However, we can’t process the donation without certain vital information. If you would please call our office, we will honor your wishes and have the ability to move forward as this would help our budget tremendously! God bless all of you for your kindness and support for this much needed ministry. Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season!
